Imphal, August 26 2026: Special Commandos arrested six alleged cadres of United People's Party of Kangleipak including a juvenile and a Mali of Manipur Forest Department today.

The arrested have been identified as Waikhom Arun Singh (20) of Khabam Heinbongmakhong; Ahongshangbam Avinash alias Andy (26) of Kwasiphai Mamang Leikai; Elangbam Alexander Singh (21) of Hiyanglam Warakhong; and Phuritshabam Koireng Singh (51) of Pheidinga Bazar--a Mali of Manipur Forest Department.

From their possession, the commandos seized 23 letter heads of UPPK, a Baofeng handheld set, an Astar car and a two-wheeler Pleasure.

Security forces also arrested one alleged cadre of KYKL identified as Saikhom Arke Singh (49) from Khangabok today.
