Imphal, July 26: Expressing that most crimes of kidnapping of children are being committed through use of vehicles with tinted glass/windshields, SSP (IW) L Kailun in a statement said security personnel would conduct vigorous checks of vehicles with tinted glass and take punitive action under relevant laws.

Appealing to the public/officers to extend cooperation in the special drive of the district police, the SSP also informed that use of tinted glass is violative of laws under the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 .
