Imphal, August 01 2026: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh has extended greetings to people, particularly Muslims, on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi.

"The occasion commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad, whose life and teachings inspire us to uphold the values of compassion, kindness, peace, equality, brotherhood and service to humanity.

His message of love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence continues to guide us towards building a harmonious society," the Chief Minister said.

May Milad-un-Nabi bring peace, prosperity and happiness to every household and "inspire us to live tih mutual respect and understanding," he added.

Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam too greeted the people on the occasion.

"May we use this occasion to reflect on the Prophet's eternal values of humanity, forgiveness, and profound kindness toward all mankind.

May the teachings of the Prophet usher in a new era of goodwill, unity and peace for everyone," Govindas said in his message.
