Various outreach activities held under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

Bpr/CCpur/Jbm/Phz/Spi/Tpl, September 24 2026: With the aim to reach out extensively to the public, various activities continue across the State under different themes.

Bishnupur

The two-day essay, painting and speech competitions for students on the theme "My Vision for Viksit Manipur", organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Moirang College, under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, concluded today with a prize distribution ceremony held at the Conference Hall of Moirang College.

The competitions were organised with the objective of encouraging students to express their ideas, creativity and aspirations for the development of Manipur through written expression, visual art and public speaking, said a press note by the college.

Churachandpur

The District Administration, Chura chandpur, organised a multi-department Seva Setu Abhiyan camp at the SDO/BDO Office, Kangvai, today as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, bringing a range of government welfare, livelihood, agricultural and healthcare services closer to the people.

Mangminlian Vaiphei, SDO/BDO, Kangvai, coordinated the camp, which brought together officers and staff from various departments who set up dedicated stalls to facilitate access to government schemes and public welfare services.

The camp provided a range of services covering healthcare, social security, agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, livelihood promotion and essential documentation.

The Horticulture Department distributed organic manure to farmers and beehives to beekeepers, while the Agriculture Department facilitated Farmer Card and PM-KISAN re-verification applications.

The Fisheries Department provided application forms for assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), including support for construction of new ponds and renovation of existing fishery ponds.

Forms relating to fish nurseries, insurance and registration of fish farmers were also made available.

The Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) conducted awareness sessions on livelihood skills and opportunities for income generation and self-employment.

The camp also facilitated access to social security and welfare services, including assistance related to the old-age pension scheme, widow pension scheme and other eligible government welfare schemes.

The District Child Protection Unit facilitated applications under the orphan sponsorship scheme.

Healthcare services included a free medical camp, basic health examinations, distribution of medicines and facilitation of health card services.

The Medical Department also assisted beneficiaries with enrolment under the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).

The Malaria Department conducted free malaria testing.

Residents were also provided assistance with Aadhaar card-related services and verification, as well as the issuance of Scheduled Tribe, income and residential certificates by the concerned departments.

The SDO/BDO, meanwhile, conducted an awareness session for village chiefs on various State and centrally sponsored schemes, explaining the benefits available to eligible beneficiaries and encouraging wider dissemination of information at the village level.

Jiribam

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 observance in the district, painting and essay writing competitions were held at difference venues in Jiribam district.

The Zonal Education Of fice, Jiribam organised the competitions at the Sorok Atingbi High School, Jiribam Higher Secondary Seva Sankalp, and Leisabithol Upper Primary School.

A similar essay writing and painting competition was also organised under the theme "My Vision of Vikshit Bharat" to encourage students to express their ideas, creativity and aspirations for a developed India at the Jiri College, Kadamtala Jiribam organised by the IQAC, Jiri College, NSS Unit, Jiri College, My Bharat Jiribam.

Pherzawl

Pherzawl, continued the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan across Pherzawl district with a series of programmes focusing on nutrition awareness among mothers and caregivers and encouraging students to express their aspirations through art and writing.

Under the "Aangan Ka Utsav" initiative, Anganwadi Centres under ICDS Pherzawl organised nutrition awareness programmes at Parbung, Senvon, Tinsuong, Pherzawl, Henchungpunji and Mualnuam villages.

Around 245 beneficiaries, including mothers and caregivers, took part in the programmes.

A key feature of the sessions was live demonstrations on preparing nutritious dishes using locally available fruits, vegetables and eggs, along with traditional recipes.

The initiative aimed to promote awareness of nutritious food choices through practical and locally relevant approaches.

Meanwhile, student creativity and aspirations took centre stage under the "India of Dreams - Art Seva" component.

The ZEO Pherzawl organised essay and painting competitions at Parbung Govt Hr Secondary School, Sinzawl Govt High.

Senapati

The 'Aangan Ka Utsav', organised as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, was held today at the Rikhumai Taphou Anganwadi Centre under the supervision of the District Administration, Senapati.

The programme aimed at strengthening Anganwadi Centres through the active participation of mothers, children, Anganwadi Workers, ASHA workers and members of the local community.

The programme focused on creating greater awareness about nutrition, maternal health, immunisation, child development, and various welfare schemes for women and children.

It also provided a platform for meaningful interaction between frontline workers and beneficiaries at the grassroots level, with an emphasis on improving the delivery of essential services.

During the programme, Anganwadi Workers and Helpers were acknowledged and appreciated for their dedicated services towards mothers and children.

Their contributions in providing supplementary nutrition, promoting health awareness, supporting immunisation, and facilitating early childhood care and development were particularly recognised.

As part of the initiative, Aangan Ka Utsav was also conducted at Purul Atongba Bobu Centre and will be conducted at various Anganwadi Centres.

Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the ' Aashirwad Ka Diya' lighting ceremony was also organised across various government offices and public places in the district.

The ceremonial diya was lit at the respective premises by District-Level Officers, along with their staff.

Tengnoupal

Alarge number of school students participated in painting, essay and elocution competition held under the theme "My vision of Viksit Manipur" as part of the nationwide "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" across the district.

The participant schools were Khudengthabi Aided Primary School, KGBV Langol Khullen, Leibi Junior High School, H Mongjang Upper Primary School and Sita High School.

The activities were organised by Zonal Education Office, Tengnoupal under the supervision of the District Administration, Tengnoupal.
