Vendor Development programme and Rashtriya Poshan Maah observed in Kakching

As part of the ongoing 8th edition of Rashtriya Poshan Maah, which began on September 17, a special programme was held today at the Model Anganwadi Centre, Sector-4 Keirak in Kakching District under the supervision of the District Administration Kakching.
The event was organised by the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Project, Kakching, under the Department of Social Welfare as part of the Vikshit Bharat Viksit Manipur and the Nation First@75 Campaign.
The programme was conducted under the theme "Right Nutrition, Healthy Life", and will continue until October 16.The programme was attended by M Bimola, Supervisor of ICDS Project, Kakching and Ng Nandita participated as resource persons.
They spoke in detail about Poshan Maah, stressing on healthy living, importance of nutrition and intake of essential nutritious foods.
Supervisors of ICDS Kakching, Anganwadi Workers and residents from the nearby areas actively took part in the event.
As part of the event, a tree plantation programme was also conducted under the initiative "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" .
Altogether around 100 participants participated in the programme.
Meanwhile, under the supervision of the District Administration Kakching, the Directorate of Trade, Commerce & Industries and the District Industries Centre (DIC) Kakching jointly organised a two-day Vendor Development Programme (VDP) on the theme "Sewa Parv: Serving Together, Building Viksit Bharat", under the Raising & Acceleration of MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme at the Conference Hall of Kakching Municipal Council today.
The programme was graced by Yengkhom Rajendra, President of Kakching Bazaar Business Welfare Association, Soibam Nabakunja, General Manager of District Industries Centre, Kakching and Deepak Khwairakpam, OSD of Directorate of Trade, Commerce & Industries (MSME), as dignitaries.
In the later session of the programme, Deepak Khwairakpam, OSD of Trade, Commerce & Industries (MSME), spoke on MSME schemes, while Shougaijam Surendro, Food Safety Officer, Kakching delivered a speech on compliance and quality standards and Yaikhomba, CEO of Addble Solutions Private Limited, spoke on marketing and digital enablement, as resource persons.
