Youngsters compete in DYASO Thoubal's youth festival

Thoubal, September 23 2024: The District Youth Affairs and Sports Office Thoubal organised the District Youth Festival Thoubal 2024 at Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Thoubal Kshetrileikai Haotabi Lampak today.

The event was graced by K Micheal Singh, vice-president, DFA Thoubal and retired Assistant Director SAI as the chief guest; Deven Moirangthem, District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer Thoubal as the functional president and Nongthombam Rameshor Singh, Senior Youth Officer, YAS and L Manao Singh, Senior Lecturer, Physical Education, YAS as the guests of honour.

At the festival, youths of the district participated in many competitions including, painting competition, poetry competition, story writing, declamation, handicraft, group folk dance, solo folk dance, group folk song and solo folk song competition etc.

Some of the winners of the aforementioned competitions are: painting- Wangkheimayum Joyrani; poetry- Laishram Deepashri; story writing- Akoijam Raneldrajit Singh; declamation- Swami Waikhom; handicraft- Thokchom Mandashwori; group folk song- Performing Entertainment Arts and Culture Evolution (PEACE); solo folk dance- Okram Odelliya; group folk song- Performing Entertainment Arts and Culture Evolution (PEACE) and solo folk song-Laimapokpam Luckyrani.

Certificates and cash awards were handed over to the winners on the occasion.
