AB-PMJAY Health scheme launched at different districts

Ukl/Cdl/Bpr/Tbl, September 23 2018: As a part of nation-wide campaign for Mega Health Reform through cashless hospitalization upto Rs 5 Lakh per year for poor families of the country, MLA Khashim Vashum today launched the Centre's flagship Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-(AB-PMJAY) organized by District health Society, Ukhrul District at DRDA Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Office Complex, Hamleilkhong, Ukhrul while AB-PMJAY cards were distributed to five individual beneficiaries ofUkhrul District.

Speaking as chief guest of the launching programme, Khashim Vashum stressed on the health benefits under AB-PMJAY and said that the empanelled hospital will provide free medical treatment in order to ensure the well-being of poor people, especially women, children and elderly.

The ambitious National Health protection scheme, which was renamed as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (PMJAY) aim to provide a coverage of Rs five lakh per family annually, benefitting more than 10 crores poor families of the country, he added.

He continued that the entitlement is decided on the basis of deprivation criteria identified through 2011 SECC (Socio Economic Caste Census) database.

According to reports, over twenty seven thousand households from Ukhrul district alone were enrolled in SECC.

The chief guest also urged the crowd to spread awareness of the health scheme to all the people of the district to get avail of the benefits while adding that media can play important role to bring a tangible development in all sectors.

Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul Dr Harmit Singh Pahuja attended the launching programme as the guest of honour while CMO, Ukhrul Dr Kapangring in his keynote address, explained how to avail the health benefits scheme under AB-PMJAY.

He further said the health scheme will also cover treatment for secondary or tertiary level at both empanelled public and private hospitals across the country.

During the launching programme, the CMO also highlighted the difficulties of running hospital due to shortage of specialists and others trained paramedics staff.

A live screening of the launching of AB-PMJAY by the prime minister of India from Jharkhand for cashless hospitalization upto Rs 5 lakh per year for poor family was also facilitated during the programme.

The programme was attended by ADC members, CEO Polly Makan, SDOs, DLOs, social organizations leaders, staffs, other enthusiastic individuals and women from different walks of life.

Chandel:
Today as launched all over India, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) was launched in Chandel District by Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Water Resources, Letoao Haokip at a function held at DRDA hall, DC complex Chandel.

Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and, Water Resources, Letoao Haokip, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel Krishna Kumar, CMO Chandel Dr Serthani Serbum and Addl Superintendent of Police, Chandel Syed Abdul Samad graced the function as presidium members.

Speaking at the occasion the Minister Letoao Haokip promised that he will extend all the possible help to those who are not covered by PMJAY and the Chief Minister's Hakshelgi Tengbang schemes at his personal level.

He further said that launching any scheme is easy but what is imperative is its effective implementation.

He also urged the concerned department/persons to submit a detail report within a year to see that the schemes being launched are being materialized at ground level.

In his presidential speech, the Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar reiterated that under the socio-economic and caste census of 2011, the under-privilege peoples were divided under different parameters and were brought under different schemes and said that any Government schemes how good it may be cannot be successfully implemented without the help of the people.

He further said that most of the people in the rural areas are not aware of the benefits being given to them through these schemes and appealed to all the Government officials, and specially village Heads, Anganwadis and ASHA workers who are in direct contact with the people and the public in general to spread the awareness amongst the people in the far flung areas of the district.

As part of today's function Golden Record cards (e-cards) were also distributed to the beneficiaries.

Addl Deputy Commissioner Chandel Dr A Chinglenkhomba Meetei, DIO Chandel Dr Lakshmi Thumlip, SDOs & SDC Chandel, Village Heads from different villages of the district, ASHA & Anganwadi workers, and many Government officials of the district also attended the function.

Bishnupur:
To provide free medical treatment cover up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for in-patient hospital care at the 11 empanelled secondary and tertiary hospital, both in government and private sector, Minister for Works, RD & PR, Com & Industries, Power, AR & Trg Th Bishwajit Singh launched the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) today at Panchayat Resource Centre, Mini-Secretariat Campus, Bishnupur for the district.

District Health Society Bishnupur and District Administration Bishnupur organized the launching programme while Works, RD & PR, Com & Industries, Power/AR & Trg Minister Th Bishwajit Singh, MLA Oinam AC Chairman MPCB & KVJJ3 L Radhakishore Singh, MLA Thanga AC PDA Chairman T Robindro Singh, MLA Kumbi AC S Bira Singh, Adhyaksha Bishnupur Zila Parishad Dr Th Romabai Devi, DC Bishnupur Pawan Yadav and Chief Medical Officer Bishnupur Dr Ng Jayenta Singh attended the programme as presidium members.

District Level Officers, Officers of Bishnupur Police and Zila Parishad members, Pradhans also attended the function.

Under the ambitious PMJAY scheme, around 2.77 lakhs families will be covered for Manipur as per SECC.

During the programme, a booklet containing detail information about the scheme was also released while Golden Records Card was also distributed to ten beneficiaries.

Addressing the function, Bishwajit said that there will be no homeless person and health care will be accessible to all the people in our society when India celebrates its 75 years of Independence.

Lauding the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for people-centric and pro-poor schemes and programmes, he said that AB-PMJAY is also a fundamental restructuring of the manner in which beneficiaries can access healthcare services at the primary, secondary and tertiary care levels.

Thoubal:
As a part of launching of centre's flagship PMJAY scheme across the nation by Prime minister Narendra Modi today for mega health reform through cashless hospitalization upto Rs 5 Lakh per year for poor families in the country under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, District Administration Thoubal also launched the PMJAY at Counting Hall of DC Office Complex, Thoubal for the district MLA Wangjing-Tentha AC Paonam Brojen attended the launching programme as chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Thoubal Haobam Roshita Devi (IAS) as functional president while Deputy Commissioner Kakching Neilinthang and Adhyaksha Thoubal Zilla Parishad Hasina Begum attended the programme as guests of honor.

SP Thoubal S Goutam, Pradhan, ZP members and DLOs also attended the programme.

Speaking as chief guest, MLA Brojen said that the flagship health scheme initiated by the PM will provide quantum of benefits to the poor families of the country where a cashless hospitalization upto Rs five lakh per year (increase from Rs 2 lakh) will be granted for each family.

He continued that people seeking hospitalization no longer need to carry cash but holding a health card will serve the purpose to receive treatment in the hospital.

CMHT District co-ordinator spoke in detail about PMJAY as expert to the gatherings while Golden Record Cards (ecard) were distributed to few selected beneficiaries through the dignitaries.

The gatherings also witnessed the live telecast of the launching of PMJAY by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
