Training programme on "Basic banking, accounting & computer skills" concludes

A two-day training programme on "Basic banking, Accounting and Computer skills for selected 20 PACS" concluded today at the conference hall of the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Lamphelpat.
The training programme was organised by ICM in collaboration with Manipur State Co-operative Bank Ltd (MSCB) under the sponsorship of NABARD, Manipur Regional Office (under Cooperative Development Fund for Comprehensive Support Plan) .
The valedictory function was graced by L Angouba Singh, Deputy General Manager, MSCB Imphal; Khoichung Rangamlia Aimol, Director, ICM; Dr Kh Somorendro, former Director, ICM; Piyainu Thounaojam, faculty, ICM Imphal; and Deepuraj Tongbram, Programme Coordinator, ICM Imphal as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, L Angouba said that amidst a challenging global scenario, India has emerged as a significant economic and geopolitical power.
He asserted that the Government of India has set a target to become the world's third largest economy and a developed nation by 2047 .
"The target of becoming an economic powerhouse cannot be achieved without first developing the rural areas of the country" said L Angouba while adding that the Comprehensive Support Plan was launched by NABARD to develop Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) across the nation.
