17th SAC meeting of ICAR-KVK Imphal East held

Imphal, January 23 2025: The 17th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Imphal East was held today at the Conference Hall of NEC-Model Farm, Directorate of Extension Education (DEE), Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal in Lamphelpat.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma.

Director, Extension Education, CAU Imphal; Dr LM Gamayak, Director, Research, CAU Imphal; Dr Ng Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food technology, CAU Imphal; Prof Angad Prasad, Department of Extension Education, College of Agriculture, CAU Imphal; Prof Dipaknath, Deputy Director, DEE, CAU Imphal; Prof Th Robindro Singh, Deputy Director, DEE, CAU Imphal; and Dr Y Prabhabati Devi, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Imphal East.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma said that the meeting aims to get inputs from the farmers, stakeholders & scientists and form a platform to work together and formulate plans & programmes for the farming community.

"The meeting will deliberate on the Action Plan for 2025 and review the achievements of 2024", he added.

Key presentations were also delivered by KVK experts on the Action Plan for 2025 and the Annual Report for 2024.The meeting witnessed an engaging discussion involving scientists,.

progressive farmers and representatives from line departments.

The SAC reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity and fanner welfare through innovative practices and collaborative efforts in the coming year.
