Thoubal, December 21 2024: Paying his maiden visit to the district, N Ashok Kumar, Commissioner, Home Department, Government of Manipur, took stock of the law and order and security situation in Thoubal today.

During a security meeting held at the conference hall of Thoubal Deputy Commissioner, the Commissioner (Home) assessed a report presented by Rakesh Balwan, Superintendent of Police Thoubal and Ahanthem Subhash, DC, Thoubal.

He advised the Central forces deployed in the district to play a significant role in improving the law and order situation in Thoubal.

High ranking police officials of Thoubal, personnel of Assam Rifles, CRPF and other related officials were present at the security meet.

Additionally, the Commissioner (Home) also paid a visit to the Rice Research Station Relief Centre at Khangabok and interacted with the displaced folks.

Accompanied by the Thoubal DC, he also inspected the Tailoring Skills and Marketing Project launched by the District Administration, Thoubal and BOHO Manipur funded by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand to provide a means of livelihood to the IDPs from Sugnu and Serou staying at the camp.
