Old Age Home, Mongsangei observes 16th Foundation Day

Imphal, June 18 2026:
The 16th Foundation Day of the Old Age Home run by the All Manipur Senior Citizens Welfare Association, Managing Committee, Mongsangai, was observed today at Arubam Ingkhol, Mongsangai Makha Leikai, Imphal.
Konthoujam Hrishikesh, former Director (Administration), North East Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP), Government of India, attended as chief guest.

vice president of the Association, presided over the function, while land donor Akoijam Ingobi and donor S Ibempishak were the guests of honour.
The programme began with floral tributes to deceased members of the Home.
Several saplings were also planted on the occasion.
Angom Sanahalbi and Naorem Ibemma were felicitated as Home Service Providers of the year with citations and cash awards.
Konthoujam Hrishikesh lauded the Home's 16 years of service and prayed for the long, healthy lives of the inmates.
He stressed that children, must care for their parents with love and respect, adding that if everyone remembers they too will grow old, no parent would need to stay in an old age home.
Serving elderly parents, he said, is akin to serving God, and urged families to keep numbers in such homes from rising.
