State Level CNE held at SAHS Langol

In connection with the celebration of International Nurses Day, a State Level CNE on "Our Nurses, Our Future, The economic power of care" was held at the hall of Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Langol, Imphal on Thursday.
The programme was organised by Shija Academy of Nursing in collaboration with the Nursing Department of Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI) Pvt Ltd and Manipur Nursing Council.
It was graced by SHRI chairman cum managing director, Dr Kh Palin; Manipur Nursing Council, Registrar, Dr A Jamuna Devi and Shija Academy of Nursing, Principal, Prof Ch Babita Devi among others.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Kh Palin dwelt on roles and responsibilities of nurses while discharging their services and added that everyone ought to acknowledge their contributions to the society.
He asserted that with the increasing demand of nurses worldwide, it is important to conduct training from time to time to improve the quality of nursing services.
"Nurses play an important role in patient care, they are the backbone of the entire healthcare profession", he added.
Dr A Jamuna Devi shared that International Nurses Day is celebrated across the world, every year on the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale to mark the contributions of nurses towards society.
