Imphal, October 16 2025: As part of its Foundation Day observance, the Manipur University Working Women's Association (MUWWA) organised a humanitarianoutreachprogramme at the Ideal College Relief Camp, Akampat, on October 14, 2025 .

As per a release issued by MUWWA, the initiative aimed to support over 100 internally displaced children with essential educational and nutritional supplies.

During the programme, members of MUWWA distributed notebooks, pens, pencils, colouring materials, and food items to children currently living in the relief camp.

The effort is part of MUWWA's continued commitment to extend social responsibility beyond the confines of classrooms and the university campus.

Dr K Sobita Devi, general secretary of MUWWA, highlighted the importance of sustained support for children affected by displacement due to the conflict that began in May 2023.MUWWA members reiterated the need for collective community efforts in bridging gaps for vulnerable groups, especially children residing in relief camps across the state.

The association affirmed its dedication to addressing immediate needs and fostering hope among those impacted by the ongoing crisis.

The outreach marked another milestone in MUWWA's broader mission to contribute meaningfully to society, particularly during times of humanitarian need.
