Imphal, October 16:
In its drive to check alcoholism and drug abuse, AMADA had pulled up 6 individuals from different places along with about 60 litres of liquor since October 5 till October 14, said a press release issued by AMADA.
Further, 700 litres of liquor were seized from four persons during a joint drive by AMADA Khangabok Council and Joint-Social Upliftment Committee yesterday, it mentioned.
While appreciating the help extended by 3rd IRB during the drive, it said that the seized liquor was consigned to flames.
On the other hand, the AMADA Takyelkhongbal unit was constituted on October 9 with Huirem Chaobihan as president.
Nine other executive members of the unit was also appointed, said a release.
