Mao Council felicitates Deputy CM

Expressing joy and giving thanks to the Almighty, the Mao Council on Saturday felicitated Deputy Chief Minister Dr Losii Dikho at Tadubi today.
At the beginning of the programme, a monolith was blessed and unveiled by Rev A Pfokrelo, executive secretary of Mao Baptist Churches Association (MBCA) at Mao Council Secretariat Complex, Tadubi.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Losii Dikho expressed gratitude for all the generosity shown to him today with gifts from different associations, organizations, including women and students of the Mao community.
The Deputy Chief Minister acknowledged that he was able to get the position only through everyone's prayers and support.

Commenting on the ongoing State Budget session, he remarked that the Government has been putting in all efforts to restore peace and normalcy in the State.
The State Government is dedicated to inclusive development in Manipur, he added.
Further, Dr Losii Dikho sought the public's support and cooperation in the implementation of any developmental projects in the near future.
He assured to extend his service for the welfare of the people as he takes charge as Deputy Chief Minister.
In his welcome address, N Athikho Joseph, president, Mao Council expressed happiness that Losii Dikho, who was assigned the portfolios of the PHED, Forest, Environment & Climate Change, was given the post of Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur.
With the trust of the Union Ministry and the State Government upon Dr Losii Dikho, he has been given higher responsibilities in the State.
The Mao Council president also lauded the Deputy Chief Minister for travelling to all parts of the State with an aim to bring peace and normalcy in the tense prevailing situation.
He also termed the event as a day to showcase appreciation for his remarkable contribution to the district and the State.
The president also offered prayers to God to bestow him with wisdom as he takes the position to serve the people of the State and to grant him a long life in his service.
Different gifts including certificate of appreciation, Naga shawls, local chickens, vegetables, fruits, etc were presented to the Deputy Chief Minister.
Officials from the Mao Council and its units from Dimapur, Kohima, Senapati and others were present at the felicitation event.
