BJP leaders engage with Maram PVTG on PM-JANMAN implementation

In a move to strengthen ties with tribal communities and assess ongoing welfare initiatives, BJP National Secretary BL Santosh and the party's Northeast in-charge Dr Sambit Patra held an interaction with members of the Maram Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) .
The meeting held at the DRDA Hall, Senapati brought together PVTG, village chiefs and local leaders to discuss the condition of the community and the progress of the PM-JANMAN scheme.
Dr Sambit Patra highlighted that the PM-JANMAN scheme aims to uplift PVTG communities through 11 key interventions implemented by nine line Ministries, focusing on improving basic facilities across 26 states of India, with the largest number of beneficiaries in Odisha.
Commending BL Santosh for his dedication to national service, Dr Patra said that Santosh, an engineer by profession who chose to dedicate his life to the nation as a Pracharak, deeply understands the aspirations and challenges of people across the country.
In his address, BL Santosh reaffirmed that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the Government of India remains committed to the principle of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas", ensuring that no community is left behind in the nation's journey of progress.
Encouraging community participation in governance, Santosh also urged attendees to tune in to "Mann Ki Baat", aired on the last Sunday of every month in local dialects and English, describing it as an important medium that connects the Prime Minister with the people and promotes participatory governance.
He further emphasized the importance of promoting local economies, urging communities to favor locally produced goods over foreign products to strengthen domestic industries, empower local artisans, and boost self-reliance.
After listening to reports and a memorandum submitted by the Maram Union on the status of works under PM-JANMAN and additional requests for development and upliftment of Maram PVTG, both dignitaries assured that they would convey the concerns and proposals to the relevant departments and ministries for appropriate action.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the Maram Union expressing gratitude to the BJP leadership for their proactive engagement and commitment toward the holistic development of the Maram PVTG .
