Thoubal, May 12 2019: Residents of 9 villages under Tengnoupal AC come together to raise fund and started repairing of 15 km long Pallel Bazar Aimol road led by Aimol Students Union in association with All Aimol Village Authority from yesterday to bring some respite to the denizens of the area who are facing lots of hardship due to the dilapidated road condition which got worsen and deteriorated as a consequence of delayed work by the concerned department.

Speaking to the media persons, ex-president, Aimol Tribe Union, Athoi Bungpe said that Aimol Students Union and All Aimol Village Authority Union had been sending numbers of reminders to the State Govt to complete the repairing work from Pallel Bazar to Aimol road since long time to alleviate the miseries of the people but the road has not been repaired till date.

He added that the road repairing work which commenced yesterday will cover road at Pallel Bazar Aimol Road, Aimol Khulen, Ngairong, Chandolpokpi, Khadamphai, Tampak, Chingnunghut, Kombirei, Khujai and Satu.

He continued that the 15 km long road is the lifeline of the many residents settled in the area and the deplorable road condition, which had not been repaired since very long time due to Govt's apathy, caused tremendous sufferings to many school going children specially during monsoon season.

He further said that the repairing work was started to ease the problems of the locals mainly in rainy season with monetary contributions from the villagers and urged the concerned authority to repair the road at the earliest to lessen their grievances.

He, on behalf of Aimol Students Union and All Aimol Village Authority, also appreciated the assistance extended by MLA Tengnoupal AC Dk Korungthang; ADC Member, Aimol Tampak Constituency, Chochandthoi and the villagers to repair the road and expressed gratitude to 18 AR for providing JCB for the repairing work.

He also cautioned the residents against encroachment along Pallel Bazar to Aimol road.
