AHPI organises cycle rally, tree plantation drive

As part of the 1st APHICON NE II 2025, the Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI), Manipur Chapter successfully organised a Cycle Rally for Climate Action, followed by a tree plantation drive.
According to a release issued by AHPI, the initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness and inspire collective action to combat climate change, promoting a greener and more sustainable future.
The cycle rally was jointly flagged off by dignitaries including Prof N Lokendro Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University; Dr Th Dhabali Singh, CMD, Babina Group of Companies; Dr Kh Ratankumar Singh, CMD, Mother's Care Children Hospital & Research Centre and Dr H Rajen Singh, CMD, Raj Medicity.
The cycle rally began at Western Kangla Gate and concluded at Manipur University, attracting over 100 enthusiastic participants.
Among them were healthcare professionals from the AHPI and IMA Manipur State Branch, members of Doctors on Pedals (DoP), and citizens from various walks of life, all united in their commitment to environmental protection.
Notably, MAAMBA (Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association) also took part in the rally, demonstrating their support for climate action and helping to create awareness on the importance of eco-friendly transportation and reducing carbon footprints.
Following the rally, a tree plantation drive was carried out at Manipur University, symbolizing a collective pledge to restore greenery and promote sustainable practices.
The initiative underlined the importance of both preserving the environment and mitigating the effects of climate change through active community engagement.
The AHPI, Manipur Chapter extended its heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, dignitaries, volunteers, and sponsors for making the event a grand success.
