GOC 3 Corps visits Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur

Imphal, September 09 2025: Lt General Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM,YSM General Officer Commanding 3 Corps made a historic visit to Rajya Sainik Board (RSB), Manipur.

This marks the first ever visit by a GOC of a Corps to Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur.

Col Gopendra Singh Puyam (Retd), Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur briefed the GOC on the Board's responsibilities and initiatives, number of ex-servicemen in the state, gallantry award winners from Manipur.

During the briefing, Colonel GS Puyam (Retd) highlighted key functions of Rajya Sainik Board which include welfare and resettlement of ex-servicemen, War widows and families of defence personnel, pension related benefits of ex-servicemen.

He also mentioned the challenges faced by the Board in implementing its objectives Despite, the progress made challenges remain in ensuring welfare measures, resettlement issues for ex-servicemen in the state of Manipur.

The GOC emphasized the importance of sustained efforts to address these challenges and improve the lives of ex-servicemen and their families.

He also assured support for ex-servicemen of Manipur addressing their concern and need GOC's visit demonstrate the Army's commitment to the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families of Manipur.
