DBC (A) Maram observes "Social Work" month

The Department of Social Work.
Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram, marked the month of March 2025 with a dynamic series of events and activities under the theme "Social Work: Compassion + Action" to commemorate Social Work Month.
Highlighting the significance of social responsibility, empathy, and community service, the month-long observation saw the enthusiastic participation of students across all semesters.
Activities were carefully curated to reflect the core values of social work and to foster a sense of civic engagement among youth.
Cleanliness drive, stage play, awareness program, literary day, class exchange program and mime play were the highlights of the month-long observance.
The grand finale of the observation month was a National Seminaron the theme "Education and Skill Development: Pathways for Children and Youth Empowerment" that brought together scholars, practitioners, and students from across the country.
The seminar served as a platform for meaningful dialogue on emerging trends in social work practice and research, reinforcing the department's commitment to academic excellence and community engagement.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Evergreat Wanglar, the Head of the Department remarked, "This month is not just a celebration but a call to action.
Through these initiatives, our students not only learn but live the values of social work" .
