Hilghat GP holds Special Gram Sabha for GPDP formulation

Jiribam, July 08 2026: Hilghat Gram Panchayat under Jiribam CD Block on Wednesday organised the second Special Gram Sabha under the People's Plan Campaign 2025-26 for the formulation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2026-27, with the theme "Sabka Yojana, Sabka Vikas".

The programme was attended by Block Development Officer (BDO) Tourangbam Janeshor Singh.

Administration Committee Chairman of Hilghat Gram Panchayat L Somorendro, District Mission Manager of MSRLM Wahengbam Premchand, MSPDCL DGM Longjam Birujit, DIO of Jiribam District Hospital Dr Sudipta Das, Hingminashi VLF president Babita and Nongpoknganbi VLF president Ph Onima, as presidium members.

Officials and representatives from various line departments, including MSPDCL, Forest Division, PHED, CAF & PD, District Transport Office, Horticulture, Jiribam District Hospital, Agriculture, RD & PR and MSRLM, interacted with the villagers during the Gram Sabha.

They highlighted various Government schemes and welfare programmes being implemented by their respective departments, explained eligibility criteria and entitlements, and informed the public about the documents required for availing benefits under different schemes.
