District level ASHA convention held in Jiribam

Jiribam, December 06 2025:
A district-level convention of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) was held at the District Hospital, Ningsingkhul, Jiribam, on Saturday.
The convention was organized by the District Health Society, Jiribam.
The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Krishna Kumar, IAS, as the chief guest; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam, Th Manoranjan Singh, MCS, as the guest of honour and Chief Medical Officer, Jiribam, Dr Vinay Prasad Sahu as the functional president.
In his address, Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar emphasized the need for closer coordination between ASHAs and Anganwadi workers (AWWs) .
He also advised the CMO to organize a meeting between ASHAs, the Social Welfare Department, and bank officials to apprise them of various benefits and schemes, such as the Atal Pension Scheme, available to workers in the unorganized sector.
As part of the convention, awards and certificates were presented to the six Best ASHAs, selected from each of the six Gram Panchayats.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the stakeholders for their achievements and hard work, appealing for more dedication towards building a healthy community and society.
The convention was attended by senior health officials, including Dr N Soroja Devi, SNO RBSK; Dr N Bembem, DMO; Dr Justin Haobam, MO Medicine; N Romen, DPM; and N Raju Singh, District Data Manager.
