One Fair Price Shop agent of Konthoujam Assembly constituency has been fined Rs 3000 by the Consumer Redressal Forum, Imphal for causing loss and mental pains to a ration card holder.
The Forum (consumer court) made its order today following a complaint filed by one Ingudam Indrakumar of Yurembam Awang Leikai, a card holder of AAY scheme against local agent, Pheiroijam Rajen.
According to a statement released by HRLN director Meihoubam Rakesh, Indrakumar along with his wife went to Rajen's house to procure AAY rice on July 14 this year.
