Imphal, June 02 2025: A team of Lamsang police station today carried out a publicity campaign asking people living near Singda Dam that the water level of the dam has reached a dangerous level and the residents should remain alert.

However, a senior officer of Imphal West police station has clarified that the publicity campaign was carried out due to a communication gap.

Using loudspeakers, a team of Sekmai police station today carried out a publicity campaign at around noon today saying that the water level of Singda Dam was rapidly rising and it had reached a dangerous level.

On learning about the publicity campaign, a senior officer of imphal West district police collected a detailed report of the existing condition of Singda Dam.

Maintaining that the water level of Singda Dam has not reached the danger level, he clarified that the publicity campaign carried out by Lamsang police station was due to a communication gap.
