Imphal, May 31 2010: The United Committee Manipur (UCM) on Monday convened "All Political Party Leader's Meet on Indian Policy on solving the problem of NCSN-IM and its impacts to the people of Manipur" and adopted various resolutions after thorough deliberation to urge to the Union government.

The meet was held at the state Guest House in Imphal today.

The political party leaders participated in the meeting include Kullabidhu, ex-MP and president JDS, K.Sharatkumar, general secretary of NCP, Kim Gangte ex-MP and represented state Trinamool Congress, L.Basanta publicity BJP, L.Tomba-MSCP, Sarat Salam-CPI (M) K.Kumarjit vice president RJD, S.Sotinkumar-CPI, Gyneshwor-AIFB, T.Mangi Babu vice president Congress and Kh.

Ibomcha general secretary of Manipur Peoples' Party (MPP) among others.

The meeting resolutions include 'to make a categorical commitment and declare in unequivocal term that no political dialogue affecting the territorial integrity of Manipur shall be between the 'Armed Opposition Group NSCN-IM' and the Government of India and no accord in such a great situation, adding Government of India (GOI) shall be held responsible for all the consequences in any eventuality'.

The development and progress of the ongoing peace talk between the Government of India and NSCN-IM should be opened and transparent to both the government and the people of Manipur.

Further , all issues concerning the state of Manipur should not be done without the participation/ consent of the government and of the people of Manipur, pointed out the resolution.

It also said that 'the people of Manipur will never allow the entry of Thuingaleng Muivah, gerenal secretary of NSCN IM in the Manipur at any point of time until he gives up the political demand for integration of Naga inhabited areas of Manipur with Nagaland'.

It also resolved to send an 'all political parties-high powered delegation with UCM delegates to New Delhi to apprise the Central government of the ground realities and the grave situation prevailing in the state of Manipur'.

The meet also resolved to urge upon the Government of India for taking up immediate necessary actions and for opening of national highways particularly NH39 .

The meeting also appeals the All Naga Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) and Naga Students' Federation (NSF) to withdraw the economic blockade on NH 39 and 53 in the interest of general public of Manipur.
