DLSA Chandel conducts free health camp under SAMVAD scheme

Chandel, November 29 2025:
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chandel, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Chandel, and the SAMVAD Unit, organised a free health camp on Saturday at the Women Market Complex, Chandel district headquarters.
According to DLSA Chandel, the programme was held under the joint initiative of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA), as part of the SAMVAD (Strengthening Access to Justice for Marginalized, Vulnerable, Adivasis & Denotified/Nomadic Tribes) Scheme, 2025.with a special focus on the Right to Health.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Binny Ngangom, District & Sessions Judge and chairperson of DLSA Chandel.
The event commenced with a welcome and keynote address by Phungreishung PA, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandel, and secretary of DLSA Chandel, who highlighted the significance of ensuring equitable access to healthcare and legal aid for marginalised and vulnerable communities.
The outreach programme provided free medical assistance and legal consultations to participants benefitting members of Adivasi, Denotified and Nomadic Tribes, and other vulnerable groups.
