Student induction programmes conducted

Bishnupur, July 29 2024: An induction programme for 1st semester students of the session 2024-25 commenced today at the conference hall of Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong organised by the college.

The inaugural programme was graced by Principal of the college RK Birjit Singh; Assistant Professor Department of Zoology of the college Kh Tomba; Assistant Professor Department of Economics Kh Nolini Devi and Head Clerk of the college, M Joy Singh as the presidium members.

With an aim to sensitize the newly enrolled students, Principal RK Birjit Singh deliberated on the policies and services, departments of the college and code of conduct of students while Assistant Professor Dept of Zoology M Ingobi spoke on scholarships, financial aid and payment information and Assistant Professor Dept of Computer Science L Somorjit Singh spoke at length on IT services, library, orientation and moodle.

The lecture was followed by a familiarization visit of the college campus and resources led by Head of Department of Biotech, Assistant Professor K Bibash Singh.

With the inauguration of the student induction programme, the practice of singing National Anthem and State song also resumed in the college to promote the spirit of nationalism among the students and staff of the college.

Addressing the gathering, Principal RK Birjit Singh said that the induction programme is held to welcome the newly enrolled students and to make them familiar with the facilities in the college.

Conducting such a session by raising awareness about the college among the new students will help them to adapt themselves in the new environment smoothly, he said.

Meanwhile Pravabati College, Mayang Imphal conducted the 'Students' Induction Programme' at the Fitness Centre of the college under the theme National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.The programme was graced by College Principal G Premchand Sharma; Head of Department of Commerce and Secretary of Teachers' Association Kh Binoykumar Singh; Coordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college Th Sanjitkumar Singh and Viceprincipal and Head of Department of Geology Ng Joyshankar Singh as the presidium members, said a press note by the College Principal.
