Udyam awareness cum registration drive held at Thoubal

Thoubal, March 29 2026: District Industries Centre (DIC), Thoubal, in association with Indira Memorial Club, Leisangthem Awang Leikai, organised a one-day awareness-cum-Udyam registration drive at Leishangthem Bazar Community Hall under Lilong CD Block in Thoubal district on Sunday.

The programme was conducted under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Dr Meitram Uttam Luwang, Lead District Manager, Thoubal, attended the event as chief guest, while Soibam Nabakunja Singh, General Manager of District Industries Centre (DIC), Thoubal & Kakching presided over the function.

H Priyokumar graced the programme as guest of honour.

Oinam Deben Singh Development Officer, District Industries Centre (DIC), Thoubal & Kakching, served as the resource person.

Around 200 entrepreneurs participated in the awareness-cum-Udyam registration drive.

The dignitaries highlighted the importance and benefits of online Udyam registration, along with various government schemes available for MSMEs.

They also elaborated on credit facilities offered by financial institutions and the support extended by the government to promote small and medium enterprises.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Uttam Luwang stressed the need for entrepreneurs to avail financial support and social security schemes to strengthen and sustain their business.
