Govt announces ₹10 lakh for info on Mukesh

Imphal, March 29 2025:
The government has urged citizens to come forward with any relevant information that could assist in ensuring the safe return of Luwangthem Mukesh, who has been reported missing.
In a statement issued by the home department on Saturday, the government also announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any informant providing credible information leading to his safe return.
The statement also said that security forces are trying their level best to trace the whereabouts of Luwangthem Mukesh (20) s/o Gyanendra Das of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, who has been missing since March 16 .
The state police has sought the help of Assam Rifles in finding Mukesh.
The searches are being primarily focused in areas between Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts, especially along Joujangtek and Old Cachar road areas.
Advanced technical data analysis and intelligence are being utilised to find the missing 20-year old.
In addition, high-level coordination meetings are being held to discuss how to continue the search more effectively.
If anyone has information on Mukesh' whereabouts, he/ she should contact the police immediately.
The state police are trying the level best to find Mukesh as soon as possible and maintain law and order, the post stated.
