Taking serious note of the information that some schools which are not recognised or not permitted to open class IX by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) have started taking admission to students for classes IX and X for the academic session, 2008-09, secretary of the Board L Rajmohan Singh has notified that students admitted to such unrecognised schools are not eligible to appear in the HSLC examination of the Board.
The list of the recognised schools by the Board can be seen from the office of the Board, Rajmohan said, while appealing to parents/guardians of students to send their wards only to recognised schools of the Board in order to avoid undesirable future consequences.
In another notification, th Board secretary appealed to the students and parents/guardians not to purchase the text books of class I and VIII published by Board of Secondary Education Manipur without its hologram and contact the Board if they come across any book shops selling the text books without the hologram.
