Seva Sankalp Abhiyan continues

Bishnupur/Pherzawl, September 26 2026: The month-long observance of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, continues across Bishnupur District with various line departments undertaking activities under the overall supervision of the District Administration, Bishnupur.

As part of "India of Dreams - Art Seva," an elocution competition was organised today across 53 schools of the district.

A total of 1138 students participated in the competition at their respective schools.

The competition, organised under the guidance of the Zonal Education Office, Zone IV, Bishnupur, was conducted on the theme "My Vision of Viksit Manipur" .

It may be mentioned that other activities of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan are also being conducted in the district.

So far, Seva Setu Abhiyan for Bishnupur and Moirang Assembly Constituencies have already been organised.

The same will be organised for the remaining ACs: Nambol, Thanga and Kumbi in the coming days.

Apart from Seva Setu Abhiyan, Aangan Ka Utsav is also being held in the district, with Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam from the Bishnupur AC and S Premchand, MLA of Kumbi AC reaching out to Anganwadi Centres and interacting with children and Anganwadi workers.

Pherzawl

Young students at Tuolbung High School gave colour and creative expression to their vision of a better India as they took part in essay and painting competitions organized today under the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

The programme was organised by the District Administration, Pherzawl, in collaboration with the Zonal Education Office, under the 'India of Dreams - Art Seva' component of the campaign.

Around 21 students participated in the competitions, with teachers encouraging and guiding them throughout the activities.

The competitions centred on themes such as Viksit Bharat, environmental protection, cleanliness and public welfare, encouraging students to reflect on the kind of society and nation they would like to see in the years ahead.

Through their essays and paintings, the young participants portrayed their ideas of a cleaner, sustainable and inclusive India, while also highlighting the importance of individual and collective responsibility in building a better society and protecting the environment.

Teachers played an active role in encouraging and guiding the participants throughout the activities, helping the young students express their ideas with confidence and creativity.
