Imphal, August 25 2025: Security forces recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from Singtom village under Sugnu police station, Kakching district today.

The items recovered include one INSAS Rifle with an empty magazine, one Bolt Action Rifle, two 51 mm mortars, two country made Carbines, seven IEDs, one .32 Pistol with an empty magazine, four) Pompi launchers, fifty six live rounds of ammunition ofvarious calibres, twenty five empty cartridges of different calibres, four tear Smoke Shells Soft Nose (LR), two tear smoke grenades, one Baofeng handset, one BP cover, two pairs of Tactical boots, and one waistbelt.

Yesterday, Manipur Police Control Room said, security forces also recovered arms and ammunition from the foothills of Huikap village and surrounding areas under Andro police, Imphal East district.

The arms and ammunition recovered included one 9mm Pistol with a magazine, two 12 Bore Single Barrel Rifles, one No 36 hand grenade, one tear smoke shell, one smoke grenade, one stun grenade, one rubber bullet, one IED weighing about 4 Kg, five blank cartridges, one No 80 MKI Grenade, six live rounds of ammunition of different calibres, one 7.62 SLR magazine and one Baofeng Wireless Set.
