SAMAJ fetes three outstanding students

Kakching, April 25 2026: Social Awareness & Media Authentic Junction (SAMAJ), Manipur organised a felicitation and reception programme in honour of three outstanding students from Wabagai AC who excelled in the Higher Secondary Examination 2026 conducted by COHSEM.

The reception was held at the residence of SAMAJ admin Md Tomei in Hangul Makha Leikai.

The three toppers felicitated were: 1) Chesabam Nurmiya, s/o Chesabam Nur Khan and Safra from Keirak Makha Leikai who bagged the 3rd position in Arts stream; 2) Taslima Ipham, d/o Md Habibur Rahman and Arabjan from Santhel Awang Leikai who was placed in the 13th position in the Science stream and 3) Taskira Syed, d/o Md Taher Ali and Rani Begum from Heibong Makhong Mayai Leikai who secured the 20th position in the Science stream.

The event was attended by Md Yahiya Khan, president, SAMAJ; social workers Mufti Wali Ahmed, Md Islamuddin, Md Najim Khan, Md Mujibur Rahaman, Md Isub Ali and MA Laitip, former Up-Pradhan as presidium member.

Other attendees include parents, teachers, elders, all executive members and teams of SAMAJ.

Certificate of honour and mementos were handed over to the three outstanding students.

Addressing the gathering, Md Riyajuddin, chief advisor, SAMAJ, said that the programme was "a celebration of hard work, sacrifice, and hope" and noted that these three students are the first position holders from Wabagai AC, bringing pride to the community.

The programme concluded with a "duaa" (prayer) for the bright future, good health, and long life of the three achievers of Wabagai AC, with prayers that they become doctors, officers, teachers, and leaders who serve the State and Nation with honesty.
