Zest Gospel Idol Competition at Ukhrul

Imphal, October 24 2008: Emanuel Hospital Association (EHA) in collaboration with APSAUD has organised its second Zest Gospel Idol Singing Competition yesterday at Town Hall Ukhrul amid hundreds of cheerful music lovers.

After conducting three rounds of audition and grooming the participants for 15 days this Gospel musical event finally took place with ten finalists under two categories show'casing their musical talents.

Horngayung Makang, a class 10th student of Ukhrul Higher Secondary School won the senior Zest Idol, while a class 6th student of Ukhrul Public School, Chanreiphy Vashum clinched the junior Zest Idol title, and Semsang Zimik, the youngest participant was adjusted with Audience Fan Star.

The musical event organised under adolescent project aimed at spreading the news that "musical name, fame and glory can be nurtured, maintained and achieved without substance�drugs, alcohol", said project coordinator of EHA, Philazan Shangh Shimray.

Having successfully marked the Zest Idol, EHA has expressed gratitude to all the donors, contributors, Churches and well wishers including CO 17 AR, Dharmej Yadav.
