Imphal, October 23 2016: A mass rally cum public meeting was organised by Sagolband Block Congress Committee was held at Kwakeithel Haorakchami community hall today.

A rally was taken out from Sagolband Bijoy Govinda ground till Kwakeithel Haorakchambi community hall afterwhich a public meeting was held.

Speaking at the programme, MLA RK Imo said that one should not speak ill of the party after he or she quits.

"After quitting the Congress party, some individuals and political leaders would speak bad about the party and their former party members.

Such statements are not necessary.

What matters is to what extent the elected leader had worked for the development and well-being of the people.

Bad-mouthing the Congress party after taking all the benefits should be avoided," MLA RK Imo said.

He added that numerous developmental works have been initiated in the AC.

Though some of the initiated works are underway, relentless effort will be made to complete the works before the election.

He further said that the Ministry of Tourism Department has approved to promote Shri Shri Bijoy Govindaji Temple as a tourist spot.

Therefore, necessary steps will be taken up soon.

"Congress party will again form Government in 2017 Assembly election," MLA RK Imo claimed.

"Have people of Sagolband AC seen the ex MLA taking active role along with the people in resolving important State issues like territorial integrity, ILP and AFSPA?" the MLA questioned.

Maintaining that he has stood by the people in every issue, the MLA urged the people to support him in the upcoming election as well.
