Noney, August 23 2026:
A one-day Men's Seminar on the theme, "Building a Godly Man," organised by the Longmai Churches Fellowship (LCF), was held on Sunday at Longmai-3 Baptist Church in Noney district.
Reverend Dr Guigongdai Pamei, Associate Pastor of Emanuel Baptist Church, Tamenglong, attended the seminar as the resource person.
Speaking on the theme, Rev Dr Pamei emphasised that a godly man must first build a strong foundation in Christ.
He said that Christ should remain at the centre of every family and stressed the importance of maintaining healthy relationships with family members, noting that charity begins at home.
He encouraged the participants to cultivate the habit of saying "sorry" and "thank you" within their families and to promote love, respect and understanding among family members.
Highlighting the qualities required to lead a successful and godly life, the resource person spoke on the importance of patience, hard work, courage and discipline.
Expressing concern over the gradual decline of discipline in society, he urged men to remain disciplined and responsible members of their communities.
On friendship, Rev Dr Pamei said that good company can guide a person towards a meaningful and responsible life, while bad company can lead one into trouble.
He further explained that people have different natures and mindsets, and urged godly men to guide others towards the right path.
Around 500 men from various churches in Longmai attended the seminar.
The programme encouraged the participants to reflect on their responsibilities as men, family members and members of society, and to build their lives on strong Christian values and principles.
