7th Poshan Pakhwada concludes at Kakching

Kakching, April 23 2025: The District Administration Kakching in association with the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Cell, Social Welfare Department, Kakching organised the closing function of the 7th edition of Poshan Pakhwada at Community Hall, Keirak Keithel Lampak, Kakching district on Tuesday.

The closing function was graced by Shanti Leima as the chief guest, Ningthoujam Parango, District Project Of-ficer/Child Development Project Officer (DPO/CDPO), Kakching district as president and Dr Thaodem Rajen, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kakching and Y Achouba, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Kakching as the guests of honour.

N Devendro, Food Safety Officer (FSO), Kakching district, also attended the programme as a resource person and delivered a speech on food safety.

As part of the programme, a community sports event was also held at the venue.

Notebooks and other essential items were also distributed during the programme.

The 7th edition of Poshan Pakhwada 2025 was observed from April 8 to April 23.It focused on the first 1,000 days of child's life as it is a critical period for child development.

With themes centered on maternal and infant nutrition, digital accessibility for beneficiaries, and combating childhood obesity, the 7th Edition of Poshan Pakhwada focused on outcome-based interventions to enhance nutritional well-being.
