Cycle rally carries Fit India message

Imphal, February 23 2025:
Sports Authority of India (SAI) NERC Imphal, All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and Manipur Adventure & Mountain Biking Association (MAMBA) jointly organised a cycle rally carrying Fit India message today.
YAS Director Ksh Umananda flagged off the "Sunday on Cycle" from Khuman Lampak SAI.
The rally proceeded towards North AOC, Chingmeirong Chingmeirong Khongnang Ani Karak and concluded at Khuman Lampak SAI.
YAS Director Umananda said the cycle rally was organised to promote Fit India movement.
It was organised to spread awareness about the benefits of cycling and maintaining good health among the public, he said.
He encouraged people, especially youths to refrain from abusing drugs.
AMWJU president Bijoy Kakchingtabam stressed the importance of daily exercise in keeping one's body and encouraged people to use cycles as a healthy means of commuting.
International body builder Leishangthem Sarita, SAI NERC Imphal Assistant Director (Khelo India) Laishram Samritya and MAMBA president Ngangom Arunkumar took part in the event.
