Senapati, June 22 2026:
Senapati Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S has written to the Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission(SSC), North Eastern Region, urging the establishment of an SSC Examination Centre in Senapati district, to facilitate candidates from the district.
In his letter, the Deputy Commissioner stated that a large number of students and aspirants from Senapati regularly appear for various National and State-level competitive examinations conducted by different Government organisations.
He pointed out that candidates from the district are currently required to travel long distances to examination centres located outside the district.
Such travel causes financial burden, logistical challenges and safety concerns, particularly for students from remote and rural areas.
These difficulties, he said, often discourage deserving candidates from appearing in examinations and affect their performance.
To address the issue, the District Administration has offered the use of the district's Information Technology (IT) Examination Centre, NIELIT, along with other suitable infrastructure available in the district for conducting competitive examinations.
The Deputy Commissioner further assured full cooperation and support from the District Administration in ensuring the smooth conduct of examinations, including coordination with relevant departments and local authorities.
Dharun Kumar requested the SSC authorities to consider Senapati district as a venue for future examinations and take necessary steps for assessment and empanelment of available examination infrastructure, stating that the move would benefit students and ensure inclusive access to opportunities.
