District Administration Jiribam reaches out to displaced people

Jiribam, July 20 2024: The District Administration Jiribam led by Deputy Commissioner Jiribam, Krishna Kumar has been reaching out to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by the recent violence and unrest in the district.

The District Administration is focusing on providing best possible support to the Borobekra relief camp located in Borobekra Sub-division, said a statement by the District Administration, Jiribam.

In a bid to ensure the well-being and comfort of the displaced people taking shelter in the relief camp during these challenging times, the District Administration is providing essential items including edible items and other necessities.

The initiative is part of the Administration 's ongoing commitment to assist and support the affected communities.

In line with the above, Jiribam DC Krishna Kumar emphasized on the importance of these efforts aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by the displaced people and reaffirmed the Administration's dedication for their welfare.

It may be noted that many people in the district have been compelled to take refuge in relief camps due to the recent flare-up of violence leading to a state of tension.
