Fire Service Week observation concludes

The National Fire Service Week observation organised by the Directorate of Manipur Fire Service concluded today at its complex in M-Sector, Imphal.
The week-long observance, conducted under the theme "Unite to Ignite: A Fire Safe India", aimed to raise public awareness on fire safety and honour the unwavering commitment and courage of fire service personnel in Manipur.
The closing function was graced by dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, Mayanglambam Rajkumar; Superintendent of Police, Imphal West, Ksh Shivakanta and Manipur Fire Service, Director, L Nabachandra.
At the event, the dignitaries highlighted the pivotal roles played by firefighters in safeguarding communities, responding to emergencies, and performing essential tasks to keep everyone safe.
They acknowledged the contributions of students, volunteers, and fire service personnel in spreading awareness about fire safety.
The dignitaries also reiterated the importance of continued community involvement and inter-agency coordination to ensure a firesafe society.
Demonstration of Manipur Fire Service's new equipment and presentation of prizes to the winners of the essay competition were the main highlights of the closing function.
