Brahma Kumaris, others call on Governor

Imphal, January 20 2025: Dr G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal along with Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan in Imphal today.

According to a release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan, Dr G Sunil Kumar Sharma and Prof N Sanjib Singh briefed the Governor on the milestones and achievements met by the institute as a premier healthcare facility in the Northeastern region.

The Governor appreciated the continuous efforts of the institute for providing the best healthcare facilities in the region and asked them to continue their efforts in the best interest of the people.

Moreover, BK Nilima, in-charge, Brahma Kumaris, Manipur along with other members of the organisation also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan today.

During the meeting, it was discussed that launching the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan from Raj Bhavan would be a meaningful and impactful collaborative effort to benefit the people and promote a drug-free society.

Similarly, T Ranjit-Singh, Chairperson, Manipur Staff Selection Commission also called on the Governor and gave a detailed briefing on the fiinctions and duties of the newly constituted commission.

The Governor asked the Chairman to expedite ways for full functioning of the commission.

Dinesh Khatik, State Minister, Jal Shakti, Government of Uttar Pradesh also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and invited him to the Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is celebrated every 12 years and holds immense cultural heritage and religious significance.
