Rikhumai Taphou villagers felicitate newly appointed directors

Senapati, April 18 2025:
Rikhumai Taphou villagers organised a felicitation program to PK Theophilus, Director, Geology, Ministry of Mines, Geological Survey of India (GSI) and Maj Raishe P A Director, (Plan Evaluation & Monitoring), Ministry of DoNER, North Eastern Council today at Rikhumai Taphou.
It may be noted that Paongaomai Kho Theophilus, of Rikhumai Taphou Village Senapati was promoted from Superintending Geologist Geohazards & Research to the Post of Director (Geology) [NSFG] in the Geological Survey of India (GSI) while Maj Raishe PA, son of S Apao of Khabung Karong served in the Indian Army through CDS and got selected as the director through competitive examinations in the Ministry of DoNER, North Eastern Council.
PH Fuvei, chairman, Rikhumai Taphou village in his welcome note congratulated the duo on their prestigious achievements.
Stating that such achievements are a pride for all the villagers.
While all parents want their children to let them achieve greatness in different fields, only few could attain it.
The chairman stated that the duo deserved to get such positions because of their continuous hard work and persistence they had pursued in their studies.
PK Theophilus in his speech expressed gratitude to all the villagers for their prayer support for the young learners to achieve success in life.
Theophilus stated that through God's blessings, the villagers are coming up with different achievements in different fields and urged the villagers to keep praying for the students even in future.
Maj Raishe PA stated that such appointments come through God's blessings.
He urged all to shift focus to education which is the backbone of everything.
He also mentioned that success does not come by luck but through one's ceaseless toiling and the will to attain such achievements.
He appeals to the other youth of the village to get inspiration to get more success from such programs.
LD John, Social worker in his speech stated that successful persons don't do different things but they do differently.
While congratulating the duo, the elder advised them to give their best for the welfare of the people wherever they are posted.
Rev SK Salouni, Home Evangelist, Rikhumai Taphou Tungjoy Baptist Church in his speech called the event a day to search God more and a day to rededicate to God for all the blessings he had bestowed.
The Reverend mentioned that acknowledging God for his blessings could result in more success in the future.
The Poumai Naga Students Union (PNTM), Tungjoy Youth & Students Organisation and the Rikhumai Taphou Youth & Students Organisation had earlier extended their congratulations to the duo on their promotions.
