FESOK celebrates 4th Foundation Day

Imphal, February 18 2026:
The Federal Students' Organisation, Kangleipak (FESOK), celebrated its 4th Foundation Day today at the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipuri Dance Academy auditorium in Imphal on the theme, "Education for Survival, Youth for Transformation in Today's Manipur".
The celebration was graced by dignitaries, including Prof Ch Ibohal, Dean, Students' Welfare, Manipur University; Dr Ch Tomba, Associate Professor, Department of Teachers Education, MU; Dr Malem Ningthouja, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Dhanamanjuri University; and Kangujam Amarjit, president of FESOK.
Prof Ch Ibohal spoke at the event, highlighting how the theme resonates with Manipur's current situation.
"Despite its small size, Manipur faces many challenges, and student organisations play a crucial role in navigating these issues", he said.
He stressed the importance of individual and collective action, urging student bodies to focus on educational matters.
Prof Ibohal also touched on India's vision to become a developed nation by 2047, emphasizing the role of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 .
"Students and youth are a significant force; they should pay close attention to this policy implementation", he said.
The event also included a silent tribute to deceased FESOK members, with attendees offering flowers to their photographs.
