Imphal, June 16 2026:
In line with the ongoing nationwide "Jan Kalyan Shivir" public welfare campaign, the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Manipur, will organise a Public Welfare Camp for journalists and beneficiaries from June 18 to June 20, 2026 .
The camp will be held daily from 11 am to 4 pm and will focus on two welfare schemes for the journalist community- the Manipur State Journalists' Welfare Scheme (MSJWS) and the Manipur Working Journalists' Pension Scheme (MWJPS) .
DIPR has appealed to all eligible journalists and intending beneficiaries to take advantage of the camp to apply for benefits under MSJWS.
Those eligible for the pension scheme who have not yet registered may also enroll for MWJPS during the three-day camp.
The initiative is part of the State-wide Mega Registration Camps being organised at district and sub-divisional headquarters across Manipur under the Jan Kalyan Shivir campaign.
The nationwide campaign seeks to ensure effective outreach and saturation of both Central and State beneficiary-oriented schemes, enabling all eligible citizens to access services and benefits under various public welfare programmes.
