Under the theme of 'Reading Habit in Digital Environment, the week-long observance of the National Library Week has begun from today at the hall of the Department of Library and Information Science, Manipur University.
The observing is being organised by Manipur Library Association (MALA) in collaboration with Department of Library and Information Science, Manipur University.
The inaugural function of the celebration was attended by Dean of Social Sciences Prof N Joykumar, Chief Librarian of the University Ch Radheshyam and MALA president Kangjam Chaoba as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
In the second session of today's programme, officials of the Department presented demonstrations on live search strategies and off-line search strategies.
During the course of week-long celebration, volunteers will conduct awareness programmes a many places including Thoubal and Chandel.
