JD(U) condoles demise of Sitaram Yechury

Imphal, September 13 2024: Janata Dal (United), Manipur State Unit has expressed profound sorrow and condolence on the untimely demise of Sitaram Yechury, veteran leader and general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) .

The veteran leader passed away on September 12, 2024 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi after a brief illness.

According to a release issued by Ksh Biren Singh, former Minister and president of JD(U) Manipur State Unit, the demise of Sitaram Yechury has led a void in the political landscape of India.

The veteran leader was committed to the welfare fo the people specially those belonging to the working class.

He played an important role in bringing together many political parties to work as an united Opposition in the country.

His role as a staunch leader of left political outlook will be remembered in Indian polity.

The JD(U) Manipur State Unit has also shared the pain of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
