MU implements eOffice

In a bid to boost digital governance, Manipur University (MU) eOffice went live today by uploading a file through the eOffice portal of the university from the Office of the Registrar to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
According to a press release, the eOffice implementation programme was attended by Professor N Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor of MU and Professor Th Binoy Singh, Registrar (in-charge) MU.
Other notable dignitaries included members of eOffice Implementation Committee including Dr Khumukcham Robindro Singh, Head, Department of Computer Science, MU as the chairman and Wangjam Devendra Singh, System Manager, MU as convenor and Dr Th Ibungomacha Singh, Head, Department of Computer Science, Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT), MU as co-chairman.
Acknowledging the successful implementation of eOffice, Professor N Lokendra Singh said that it is a crucial part of the Government's 100-day agenda aimed at boosting digital governance.
He underscored the significant changes the eOffice would bring in making the administration process efficient and accountable.
Sharing his views on eOffice implementation, Professor Th Binoy Singh stated that eOffice will be cost saving, speed up file movement and improve transparency in governance.
Dr Khumukcham Robindro Singh said that eOffice will streamline work culture, safeguard data security, enhance paperless and eco-friendly administration and minimize the environmental toll.
Highlighting the safety of eOffice, Wangjam Devendra Singh stated that eOffice will provide secure access to senior officials of the university through user authentication process.
