Imphal, October 09 2025: Security forces recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from Kakching and Imphal East district today, said the State police.

The items recovered from Chingkakpham Turel, Buffalo Farm under Kakching police station include one AK Ghatak with empty magazine, one G3 Rifle with empty magazine, one modified Single Barrel Rifle, four Bolt Action Single Barrel Rifles, two INSAS LMG empty magazines, one INS AS Rifle empty magazine, one SMG empty magazine, one HE 51mm mortar bomb, one hand grenade with detonator and ring, two pompi explosives, sixty live ammunition of different arms, two tear smoke shells (soft nose), two Baofeng handsets, two helmets, one BP jacket, two magazine pouches, one pistol holster, and one pair of tactical shoes.

The items recovered from Changsang hill range area under Sagolmang police station include two SBBLs, one DBBL, one Shot-gun SBBL, one country made Carbine without magazine, one country made .32 Pistol, one empty magazine of 9 mm Carbine, thirty-four live ammunition of different arms, five anti-riot cartridges, one camouflage helmet, one iron plate suspected to be used as bullet-proof and one BP jacket.

Security forces also conducted a search operation at Uripok Huidrom Leikai today and arrested an alleged Sergeant of the KYKL identified as Khangembam Joychandra Singh alias Nande (37) of Kumbi Laishang Leikai.
