Dibong GP holds Special Gram Sabha to finalise GPDP 2026-27

Jiribam, July 09 2026: Dibong Gram Panchayat under Jiribam Community Development Block on Thursday organised the Second Special Gram Sabha under the People's Plan Campaign 2025-26 to finalise the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2026-27 - Sabka Yojana, Sabka Vikas.

The Gram Sabha was attended by Jiribam Assembly Constituency MLA Ashab Uddin, Block Development Officer Tourangbam Janeshwar, Dibong Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee chairman Thongam Meghajit, MSRLM in-charge District Mission Manager Wahengbam Premchand, retired Inspector of Horticulture and Soil Conservation K Dhiren, and social worker Ng Ibohal as dais members.

Organised to encourage grassroots participation in local planning and development, the meeting deliberated on the nine themes of the Sustainable Development Goals under the XI Schedule, with discussions focusing on drinking water supply, sanitation, roads, drainage, street lighting, health, education and nutrition.

Officials from various line departments, including CAF & PD, Forest, District Transport Office, Horticulture, PHED and MSRLM, participated in the Gram Sabha.
